Holidays with Dogs

When planning for holiday season with a dog at home there are plenty of things that need to be taken care of. During holidays there are quite a lot of things that are new and in a lot of ways different to the regular routine. For instance we go out and stock a lot of things such as gifts, decoration items and plenty of food and beverage items. While planning for these items, care should be taken as to whether these items pose a threat to the pet or not. Items such as chocolates, grapes, macadamia nuts, chicken bones, onions, raisins and grapes and alcohol can cause adverse effects on dogs. Likewise special attention should be taken while selecting gift items for them. Small toys or parts of toys can cause choking hazards and certain items can cause allergies. Meanwhile the hustle and bustle that goes on with strangers coming in and out of the house can cause stress among dogs. Quiet time should be given to the dog by keeping them away.
