Rimadyl is a non inflammatory anti steroidal formulation to treat pain and inflammation in dogs. It is also known by the name of Carprofen.  It can be used against Arthritis and other joint diseases including hip dysplasia. The formulation can only be used on dogs over six weeks of age. The function of Rimadyl is to reduce the hormones that cause pain and inflammation in the dog’s body. Care should be taken not to feed Rimadyl to pregnant and lactating dogs. Sometimes Rimadyl can also be used to treat pains during surgery and to control fever in dogs. They should only be administered under the prescription of the veterinarian. It is available as a chewable tablet or a non chewable caplet. It is a tried and tested product and has also been approved by the FDA. It is available in 25, 75 and 100 mg tablets and in Pork Liver flavor.
