Chihuahua is the world’s smallest and natural breeds of dogs that has been named after the State of Chihuahua in Mexico. Chihuahua is a lively, charming, intelligent, affectionate and cute dog. Their weight should not be more than 6 pounds. Their height is in the range of 6-9 inches. Average lifespan of Chihuahua is 14-18 years. Chihuahua has a rounded apple-shaped head with a tiny and slightly pointed muzzle. Their body is robust and compact with well-sprung ribs.

Chihuahua’ neck is slightly arched sloping into lean shoulders. Front legs are straight, short and square-shaped while hind legs are well-muscled and thin. Feet are small and dainty with well-split toes. Their long sickle-shaped tail is curly, looping over the back with the tip just touching the back. Large and erect ears are spaced far apart. Their eyes are round, large, very expressive and dark or ruby colored. Nose is short, pointed and black.
